Sinopsis:

Plot mengisahkan tentang mitos seekor rubah berekor sembilan. Gumiho (diperankan oleh Lee Yeon), adalah seekor rubah siluman yang dapat berubah menjadi bentuk manusia.

Dia baru saja tinggal dan menetap di kota. Dia bertugas untuk membersihkan roh roh manusia, sambil menciptakan malapetaka.

Sementara Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah), adalah seorang produser TV yang saat ini sedang bekerja untuk program yang mengulas tentang mitos-mitos urban.

Dia juga dikenal karena bermental baja, dia tidak akan berhenti untuk memamerkan subjek yang tidak biasa selama itu tidak berbahaya.

Suatu ketika, Ji Ah mengarahkan pandangannya pada Lee Yeon yang tampak terlalu sempurna untuk dibilang nyata. Lee Yeon adalah sosok pria yang tampan, cerdas, bugar dan sangat ideal untuk menjadi tamu dalam acaranya.

Tetapi karena sifat Lee Yeon yang terkesan dingin, membuat Ji Ah ragu bahwa dia memang berasal dari dunia ini.

Disisi lain, saudara tiri Lee Yeon bernama Lee Rang (diperankan oleh Kim Bum), terkenal sebagai yang paling berbahaya dari semua gumiho yang hidup di antara manusia.

Meskipun dirinya sendiri setengah manusia, dia sebenarnya menyimpan penghinaan yang mendalam bagi semua orang. Dia sering menggoda manusia dengan cara berjanji untuk mengabulkan keinginan mereka.

Lee Rang, menipu manusia supaya mereka membayar mahal atas keinginan duniawi mereka.
